A massive landslide on Shimla-Parwanoo National Highway, which is a lifeline for Shimla, capital of Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday morning has caused total disruption of the vehicular movement resulting in a major problem for the road users.
Officials said in Shimla that the landslide at Shoghi, a gateway town to Shimla, has brought the movement of traffic to a complete halt. Most Chandigarh bound vehicles and those coming to Shimla, have remained stranded on the road. Inspector General of Police (Railway and Traffic) Zahoor Zaidi said efforts were underway to clear the debris and rocks, from the site of the landslide.
